*Following link is meant for Finland and Latvian Student Companies. Estonian Student Companies must add their info to opilasfirma.ee platform.

Job Shadowing

Job Shadowing is one part of the CBYE project events and during this time all students will go shadow one company they have chosen. You will go and discover different fields and occupations.

Registration for Job Shadow will open 10th February 10:00.

You will go and discover different fields and occupations, below you can check in which company you will go. Detailed information about specific company visit will be sent to all participants email together with travel schemes.

Trade Fair information

General

Trade Fair is two-day event, what will happen simultaneously in two different Shopping Centres. CBYE project Student Companies will be in Rocca al Mare Shopping Center on 14th February (over 400 Student Companies in total). There will be approximately 100 Student Companies in one Shopping Center from Estonia, Finland, and Latvia. From the organizer side is provided:

  • stand with walls 1x1x h2,5m. For attaching something on the stand one-sided tape, “office tape” or a sticker can be used. Double-sided tape, glue, staples, screws, nails, etc. are not allowed.
  • Table, height 110cm, diameter 80cm, covered with black stretch tablecloth.
  • Electricity (if requested beforehand). Please note, if electricity is requested, students must bring their own extension cord (minimum 5m long) and must have at least one extra socket, what will not be used by the Student Company.
  • Card payment terminal (if requested beforehand)– we offer to rent card terminals for student companies, so it would be more convenient to make sales. Rent of the terminal is 0€, but from every transaction bank will take transaction fee 1%. In process all payments will come to JA Estonia, and after the Trade Fair (7 business days) we will pay out the amount according to the payment report. Please note that transfer fee will be calculated of from the amount. NB! There is limited amount of terminal, fastest one will get it, right now we have reserved 5 terminals per country.

Competitions and awards

During the Trade Fair jury will go around and will choose the best companies in following categories:

  • Best product/service
  • Highest turnover
  • Best sales strategy
  • Most outstanding Sales Stand
  • Best International potential
  • and more

Also, during the Trade Fair, there will be Innovation Competition held. Student Company will present a 2-minute speech to the jury, highlighting what is innovative about their Student Company’s product or service. The speech will be delivered through a microphone. No computer presentation will be used in the competition.
